Welcome to Lazy Santa Safaris (hereafter “we”, “our”, or “us”). By booking any of our services through our website, in person or through any other sales channel, you (“the customer”, “you”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Services Provided

We offer guided outdoor experiences including (but not limited to):

• Snowshoeing tours

• Snowmobile safaris

• Northern lights excursions

• Traditional Finnish sauna experiences

• Husky sled rides

• Reindeer safaris

• Ice fishing

All activities are subject to seasonal availability and weather conditions.

2. Booking & Payment

• All bookings must be confirmed via our website or directly with our team.

• Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

• Prices include VAT (if applicable) and are subject to change.

3. Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the activity: Full refund (unless otherwise informed for the given activity)

• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the activity: No refund.

• In the event of extreme weather or safety risks, we reserve the right to cancel or modify activities. If we cancel, a full refund or alternative date will be offered.

4. Participant Requirements

• Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by guides.

• Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

• Snowmobiling requires a valid driver’s license.

• You are responsible for your own personal insurance coverage (health/travel).

• We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who appears intoxicated or poses a safety risk.

5. Liability & Insurance

Participation in outdoor activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: variable weather, terrain changes, equipment use, and physical exertion. By booking and joining any activity, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

 

We strive to provide safe and enjoyable experiences, but Lazy Santa Safaris or or its staff shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience arising during participation, except in cases of proven gross negligence or willful misconduct.

 

Participants are responsible for:

• Following all instructions given by guides

• Using common sense and acting responsibly

• Informing staff of any medical conditions, allergies, or limitations in advance

• Assessing their own fitness level and physical ability to participate

• Wearing appropriate clothing and footwear for winter outdoor conditions

Important Notes:

• Snowmobiling participants must drive responsibly and are liable for any damage caused to the snowmobile due to careless or reckless operation. A valid driver’s license is required for the driver (minimum Class T).

• Snowmobile driver must at all times comply with Finnish law and follow the guide's instructions, including speed limits and safety rules

• Snowmobile passenger can ride either on the backseat of the snowmobile, or in a sleigh pulled by the guides snowmobile. This will be determined according to the age and size of the passenger, but indicatively passengers of 13 years or older can sit on the snowmobile and younger will be seated on the sleigh.

• Snowmobile safaris include snowmobile rental, fuel, driving equipment, legally required motor vehicle insurance, trail fees, instruction, service and VAT.

• In case of damage to the snowmobile, the driver is responsible for maximum of 800 EUR per snowmobile. The included insurance covers any remaining cost. The included insurance does not cover injuries to the driver or passenger. Customers are recommended to have their own insurance to cover possible injuries.

• We cannot guarantee a completely risk-free environment.

 

By participating, you confirm that you understand and voluntarily accept the risks involved and that you release Lazy Santa Safaris and its staff from liability to the fullest extent permitted under Finnish law.

You are encouraged to have your own travel insurance covering winter sports and outdoor activities.

6. Health & Safety

Please inform us in advance of any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations that may affect your participation.

7. Privacy Policy

We collect personal information only as necessary to process your booking. Your data will never be sold or shared without your consent.

8. Applicable Law

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes will be handled in the courts of Finland.
